Being part of the Inatalent organization has been a remarkable experience as a volunteer teacher and as a learner. Over a period of weeks, I gained confidence in teaching HTML to middle school students, I used various teaching methods such as sharing students screens to solve the coding programs, created learning materials, developed quizzes.
Not only have I taught, but I also enhanced my skills as a learner by taking their classes such as Chemistry, Life Sciences class, and I always cherish how Inatalent provides a variety of engaging courses from math and technology to origami and public speaking. It’s a great place to learn and grow. While the schools are closed due to the COVID pandemic. Inatalent organization had done an amazing job in not just engaging the kids but also helped them to nurture and share through the network of volunteer talents.
Furthermore, these classes are very professional, and the volunteer teachers have good experience in the subjects I gained an understanding of many new concepts and strengthened my old ones, therefore I feel very delighted I got the chance to attend these classes. And I would like to thanks Inatalent who gave me this wonderful opportunity and I am always looking forward to learning something new.
The quote “The screen is a window through which one sees a virtual world. The challenge is to make that world look real, act real, sound real, feel real” by Ivan Sutherland shows how we are adapting to a virtual classroom, and how we try our best to make virtual learning feel the same way as if we were in school.
