COMPETITIVE MATH CONCEPTS

This class plans to cover general topics like looking for a pattern, working backwards, tricks in addition , subtraction, multiplication, division, logic and others. Knowing these general concepts will be helpful with every math competition.
Recommended age group - Students in 3rd to 5th grades.

VIDEO EDITING W/ SHOTCUT

This class will teach the basics of how to edit videos for either a YouTube channel which you have always wanted to start, just for fun, or for any other reason that you may have. We will cover all of the main points that are necessary to get started in this difficult world of video editing including - How to add files, transitions, music (non copyrighted), titles, and many more settings and filters to make an enjoyable video. Video making is an insanely fun experience once you get into it and I'd like to invite all of you to take part on this experience.

JAVA FOR BEGINNERS

This class will cover different aspects of digital media. From websites you visit to cool posters you see, I will show you guys how to create them yourself! Want to make your very own website and super cool logos? Sign up for this digital media class! We will be using a series of free apps and websites such as Picsart, Canva, Squarespace, and WIx.

PSYCHOLOGY

In this introductory course, we will be going over the different aspects of general psychology. We will mainly be focusing on the basics of how the brain functions and then we will dive deeper into some very interesting topics that can be applied to everyday life. We will focus on certain cognitive functions such as memory, how we learn, and how our thoughts and the thoughts of others impact our actions. We will also talk about some very interesting experiments within the field of psychology. We will also cover self-development, and how you can use psychology to your benefit by tricking your brain into doing things that you previously thought were difficult. By the end of this course, you will be more aware of how you are influenced by people and the events around you. Furthermore, you will have a greater understanding of how complex the brain is and gain more appreciation for who you are and how you work. Ultimately, this course will give you a new perspective regarding how you think of yourself and others.

CONTEMPORARY AND JAZZ TECHNIQUES

Contemporary and Jazz Techniques (Monday, Wednesday, Friday 6:30-7:30 PM) - In this class, we will be learning some techniques used in contemporary, jazz, and even ballet. We will start simple, with tendus and plies, and work our way to jetes and pirouettes. At the end of every class, we will be adding on to a piece of choreography the kids can showcase at the end of the session. Join this class if you love to dance and want to try contemporary and jazz!

3D MODELING

]In this course, you will learn the basics of TinkerCad, an online 3-D design tool.  Tinkercad is a 3D modeling program that runs in a web browser and is a popular platform for creating models for 3D printing. Participants will learn how to build shapes and real-life objects.

ART & LIFE DRAWING

Instructor: Anika Verma

Grades: 5-8

In my 2-week Summer class I will be sharing some of the important lessons I've learned so far on my journey in art. My class shall be helpful for anyone in middle school or older. In the class we will focus on multiple important aspects of art, such as lines, muscle memory, wrist movement and a small amount of life drawing. It will not be like a general art class since I will also teach you how to use references to create your own art style, character design, color usage, aesthetic control and much more. This is something regular art classes at school do not teach and I am happy to share my knowledge on the subject and help you become more confident with drawing figures, faces, objects and illustrative compositions.

STUDY OF THE HUMAN BODY

Study of the Human Body (Monday - Friday 2-3 PM) - In this class, we will be learning all about the systems of the human body! We will start outwards, with the skeletal system, and works our way inwards in the body to the endocrine and immune systems. Come join me if you have a passion for biology and want to learn more about it!

This is the class Principles of Electricity taught by Mehul Goel. We will go over the fundamentals of electricity starting with the history, working our way through the differences between AC and DC electricity, and more.
